I assume you hunt blue dogs by your name. If so I do too. Let us know how you trip goes. I live in Vincennes and have thought about going up there.

Yep, had some blues out of the Jet 5 and Davey Dean line. All ways loved that deep bay. Had to give it all up after back surgery. But will post the trip Sunday when I get home.

I hunt Jet bred dogs. Don’t hunt as much as I used to. I just can’t take it. Ed Meade has been a friend of mine for years. Looking forward to the results of your trip.

Just getting back home and settling back in. Lets say the trip was more profitable with the dice and not the fish. Not much time to fish that Friday evening just kind of scouted around. Most where at the sides of drop off's in the main channel. Stacking pods 7 to 12 foot down. Tempt ran 80 to 83 degree. Pulled in and kept a total mix of 42....3 cats, 4 crappie, and 35 gills. I ran mostly 2 inch curly tail assassin jig (black/white or pink diamond) tip with bee moth. We had cricket and worm but seemed to bite 30 minutes on then 1 hr or so off. Free floating a bobber with Browns town jig with bee moth also. For Saturday it was a slow start and the heat beating down. Glad I had a canopy, I was able to put up on the boat. Could not buy a decent bite. Only landed 14 with the same tactics but deiced just to throw them back. Morning and evening when it was cooler should of been the times we should of went out. It was the day for tubes, skiers and knee boards to contend with Saturday. Guess the tourney was at Raccoon Saturday so that did help some keeping it calm. Could not give a Saturday night time report, since some of the other party members had short mornings and still dragging into the evening Saturday. Definitely a night and day difference fishing in the spring of Wave land to the summer/fall.
