I know me and wife are stuffed. Beer battered and deep fried mine in peanut oil, fresh corn on the Cobb, baked beans with alittle brisket mixed in, red potatoe salad. Fresh garden sliced tomatoes, I am stuffed. Yours looks awesome!!!

You guys are killing me! Probably the one item I miss the most about Indiana - fresh sweet corn right out of the garden!! Looks great!

Looks great! How exactly do you do your batter? I ask because my lady has celiac disease and I'm always looking for gluten free alternatives. I usually use Louisiana Fish Fry or Zatarain's breadings that are gluten free but her favorite was always Drake's batter before being diagnosed and I bet she would love that stuff you cooked up!
my batter is made from gluten free Bisquick, old bay, garlic powder, onion powder and seltzer water.
dry each fillet with paper towel and coat with GF flour, dip in egg wash and then into batter.
deep fry in vegatable oil in cast iron until golden brown and then eat!

oldbay hum, ill try some of that. that looks tasty for sure. definitely have to try this one thanks.
my favorite way to fry fish is to splash some (like a table spoon or two per#) dales wild game marinade on it and roll it around to coat it all. set in fridge while i get the grease hot. i take it out and squeeze the extra moisture out of the fish. then i shake it in andys yellow or orange and toss in the oil.
dales is great on lots of meat! i also do my chicken, deer or pork fritters with and egg wash then an andys coating.
