    Nice pictures. I've got one of those emergency paddles also and I hope I never have to paddle very far with it.

    A friend told me when he was told he had to have a paddle on board his 26' pontoon he also bought a can of black spray paint.
    I asked him why and he said, " So I can paint 'HELP' on the paddle and hold it up.

    maybe not, but I was told when I got my boat it was a required equipment along with a horn life jacket lights fire extinguisher and other safety equip. That was several years ago

    Probably varies from state to state. SC doesn't require a fire extinguisher unless the gas tank is built in under the deck.
