One of the Patoka guides has about give up on guiding even bass. And got a report finally from a friend that lives near Patoka today, in July they will nite troll for walleyes as it gets good for a few eyes for a while. Walleye has picked up on Monroe finally even tho you might only catch a couple., hit and miss on Brookville big time. It’s a shame as Patoka was always my favorite lake for crappie, blue gill, and bass, so will start hitting Monroe again with Patoka at nite maybe for backup especially for the eyes.

we ran threw an area the night before last and hooked up on some. so we sat up there with lights and anchors. 38fow fish were coming threw about 18-20ft. only managed to catch 8 gills and 1- 20" eye.

but this is why we stopped there. Name: clearlk gill 11n.jpg

Size: 134.8 KB all the fish we caught there were 8.5 to 11". last night was about the same but with 2- 18" eyes in the cooler. not many bites but the size made up for the time spent. we tried all different offerings down to ice flies but they just wouldnt cooperate.

I slow troll, spider rig all summer at night with good success. Put out the lights and seems the baitfish just follows me wherever I go.
