Water temp 81, air temp reached 91 with it feeling like 94 with high humidity, little to no breeze and after a light shower at 6 am, it was pure sunny. Caught 60 and kept 18 from 10” to 14.5. 3 of the biggest females still had eggs all the rest had spawned. Speed was 1.6 to 1.9 mph fishing 12 to as much as 18’ of water with cranks running 8 to 14’ down. Snagged another flathead that was 3.5 to 4’ long, 25-30 lbs that took 15 minutes to get up to where I could get the crankbait out of his mouth and released. Hot color of PICO’s today was Ojay of which is orange in color. Here’s the pics.
For Sat, and Sunday, on Monroe is 200 boat tourney Indiana Bass Nation both days out of Cutright and next Sunday on Monroe is 200 boat tourney of the high school bass tourney competing for scholarships. Just a FYI.

So, since they still had eggs, are they absorbing them back to their bodies? All the females I cleaned yesterday still had eggs. I saved most of them, I have a friend that likes them deep fried. They aren't too bad, my GF thinks it's gross to eat them. Deep fried caviar.
Are both tourneys at Cutright? I will probably end up going to Pine Grove.
The catfish looks like fun, he would probably pull the Grandkids in.
I occassionally like the eggs deep fried too. Tourneys at Cutright. Yes, they still can spawn but they also can absorb them. Everything was late this year due to prolonged weather so only the fish knows the answers. Catfish on a 12 ft Southern Pro rod was a hoot. I am so impressed with the durability of the Southern Pro Rods that It should have broke as that is the second large cat this year over 25 lbs and The rod took all the pressure I could give it. Stay hydrated this weekend as they are predicting mid 90’s with high humidity.

We aren't going this weekend. It's too warm. I've fished down at Lake Norfork when it was above 100*, ain't no fun. We went thru a case of water last weekend and several shirts a day at Dale Hollow. Usually it it's going above 90*, Sophie Sue doesn't go and I go real early.
Thanks for the info.
Chance
I was wanting to hit Monroe this weekend, but avoiding it due to boat pressure. Staying off the water also this weekend due to heat. Yesterday was close to tough with no breeze.
