I just passed through the southern end of Indiana for the first time last Friday, traveling hwy 64, those places just a couple miles west of Lynnville sure look good.

If your talking the strip pits outside Boonville, I've always thought the same thing.. I look at them every time I go by there.
Anybody on here know anything about them, boat ramps the road they're on anything??

My lady friend and myself fished one of her Owen County ponds a while back in the heat and did alright. The crappie were biting on just about anything, even caught one on a crawler off the bottom I'd cast out for catfish.

Those pits near Lynnville are private The coal company just had a sale on land near there. I don't think the pits along the interstate were included in that sale but others may have been I didn't look into the sale other than the site map.

I have hit cataract last two weekends. Caught fish in 12 to 20 fow suspended and on bottom with minnows. Lots of 9 inch crappie with some nice 12 to 13 inchers mixed in here and there.

No rest for the wicked. I spent Mar., April May and June fishing and getting paid for it. Now I have to work alittle and haven't been on the water . Maybe I will slide out in a couple days and fish alittle. Week before last spent 3 days at ICAST in Orlando Nat fishing tackle dealers show. And my schedule is so tight during Aug 7 thru 14 have to visit Sturgis SD Motorcycle Fest., a deer hunting show in Wis., and on the way back another Deer, Turkey Hunting Expo in Bloomington I'll., and cover about 3k miles. Fish on everybody!
