I put in at the same ramp you thought you would be at yesterday. I got on some 12"+. I feel they are moving in slowly. What boat was you in? I was spidder rigging with another guy. I believe the only ones doing that.

Indianchinker: I ended up goin to osborn after talking to my dad. all kinds of fish marked but no bites, even see the CO and he said no one was catchin any....

no sure if they were all bait fish but i had baits top to bottom and went right thru all three schools and no bites.... if you look at the map you can see they were all three within a few hundred feet of each other.... i would have thought there would be more there than just bait fish for sure....

Glad you got out to play with your toys. Trying to learn how to use it while fishing can really slow down the process. Fish only bite when you're trying to do something else...at least it's that way with me.

I've looked hard at that unit. It sure looks like a nice unit. I'm not sure if you slow troll or not, but I'm wondering how the GPS responds when you're moving less than .3 mph. Personally, that's HB's downfall...the big donut.

I noticed several times that it did show me moving at .15 mph yesterday, i know it showed me moving at .23 today drifting and kept up on the chart with the direction i was moving.... i dont slow troll much but i will check it out this coming weekend and let you know how it does(as long as the wind will cooperate unlike today).

My Hummingbird lags sometimes to. And sometimes the channels are way off. I may need a update gonna check. But it was the same way after my last update.

Congrats, you will certainly find good use in that tool for crappie structure fishing. As for the HB... fellas, isn't there a new transducer out now that has a compass directional feature now...eg to combat the donut? I haven't kept up, but I thought I read some guys were testing that out now.
