    Default Gear list for tournaments?

    Friends:

I'm new to slab masters just this week. I wanted to fish the Morse event tomorrow but I'm not sure I have the gear for weigh-in and to keep fish alive properly.

So so how will this work?

    1. Do we get in a line to weigh fish, bringing them out of the live well, transporting them in a cooler? How long is the wait in line?

    2. If so, how do you customize a transport cooler to keep fish alive if we're in line for 30- 45 minutes?

    3. Is there a standard weight fish weigh-in bag I have to own?

    4. Someone have a gear checklist for crappie tournaments they might star?

I think I'll go to the check in table at Morse in the morning and ask around. I just need to know the "drill."

    Thanks!

My suggestion is a full size cooler on wheels with a handle. That way you can roll the cooler from your boat to the weigh in line. Add a battery aerator by drilling a hole in the side and running the plastic tube thru it. Fill the cooler with water from your live well and you will be good to go. Don't waste your money on a weigh in bag. The cooler will also work for minnows if you use them, keep the aerator on and the minnows will stay nice & lively. Also you can add frozen jug of water in warm weather to keep the minnows cool. Just take a look around at the weigh in there are a lot of ways to address this situation. Good luck & catch some fish.
    Just a fool fishin
