Cevans I think your outlook is a glass is 3/4 empty. The long range forecast I'm looking at doesn't look that bad. Looks like
typical early spring. Maybe starting a little later but a typical spring. I think the last few years have spoiled everyone. I know it has me. I miss getting the boat in early to mid February. Since mother nature is holding us off I know it's going to be a good year. lol

I'm looking forward to a good opening tournament on Patoka.

Last year when I went to Wisconsin the 3rd week of May the ice had been off for 2 days. The Saturday we arrived it was 35 and snowing, on Tuesday it was 80. Anything can happen.

My only concern is wind. Just looking forward to being on the water and fishing with a lot of good people.

It got up to 45 today down here,,supposed to be 50 tomorrow,,even tho a storm coming,,means we might have more ice to melt as they say we won't get below freezing tonite..keeping my fingers crossed to loose more ice myself and see Patoka totally open up and loose all that nasty ice so we can all fish! I'm thinking of hitting it myself mid week next week as they are now predicting another warmup commencing next Wed.
