Well I have stomped all over DNR properties all my life and never been hassled more than likely dnr didn't even know this was in writing. I have seen game wardens stand up at sportsman meetings and misstate game laws on turkey hunting yet we need to know all the game laws ignorance is no excuse. As long as there is nothing posted in parking lots or on the trails I won't worry about it. I can see where this would apply to special areas like waterfowl nesting areas and perhaps that's how it is intended.

Later after posting..found out they were all picked in sandy soil near a limestone quarry. It figures,,as not finding any in the woods myself other than one here,,one there. Talked to a farmer friend of mine,,and he said ground is still too cold..he was registering 46 degrees at 8 inches down. Going to be another week or longer here where I live I am guessing. Weather has them screwed up and late.

Well my favorite area to hunt is always slower than the sandy soil areas, Friday only found one yesterday found 9 black and grey ones only 3 of them were grey but were big. I can always figure when my asparagus is coming up and growing quickly the morels are too.

My wife and I didnt find any mushrooms at all. The woods are dry. Hopefully this rain will help some. We still enjoyed getting outside and doing some walking.
