Default Baldwin Power Plant Lake, New Athens

There seems to be limited info on this lake online, I found an old DNR pamphlet online, and it says it's a 50hp limit. I know some IL lakes prohibit even having a boat w/ a larger motor on lakes w/ restrictions.

2 main questions I have for Baldwin- how's the launch and can it handle somewhat bigger boats? I have an 18ft I/O or stern drive- any issues launching there? And w/ an I/O, larger than 50 hp, am I restricted from being out there or can I just run my trolling motor?

A few posts down a guy states you can even idle motors over 50 hp. I haven't been there in 15 years or more but there were 21' bass boats on it all the time. Ramp is fine, can't remember about courtesy docks and such. That FB page has some awesome pics of hybrids and LMB caught recently.

The ramp is good with a courtesy dock. The approach is flat but the ramp drops off a little quick in the water. Baldwin is a lake built on top of the ground so it has some quirks. The wind is an issue out there so watch the forecast.
