    Well got out to a really small farm pond and it had only 1" of ice on one side and 2" on other side. This is in Christian county and surprised by the lack of ice. But will just have to wait awhile longer. Better safe than sorry

    The water on top of my pool cover is froze solid, about 6" thick. I'm in the Peoria area.

    I have been out on the ice 3 times this season, always to Banner Marsh but on lakes of various sizes, all have had at least 4" to 6" of very good clear smooth ice.
