That first ramp has been treacherous for quite some time. Lots of lost plates and damaged trailers. I drove around yesterday. Not sure if you can safely launch at any of the ramps now. Glad I gave up duckhunting. Only way I can see to hunt it this year would be from a layout blind on a mud flat.

Except for the most popular lakes, the IDNR quit doing much with any the "infrastructures". Probably will never return to the good old days. Now they are losing half of the FOID card money, most going to the State Police.

Since Crab is a NWR property I'm guessing the funding is fed funds.

Shelbyville lake has a mix of state and federal ramps. The state ramps are well maintained. The federal ones not so much. Or maybe the other way around?

I actually think all the Shelbyville ramps are in pretty good shape
