Question How to register an 8' plastic boat ?

Have an 8' sundolphin with a trolling motor. Looked on DNR site. Didn't see an option for the following - used, Boat has never been titled or registered in any state, Private sale.

If I missed seeing the instructions, let me know.
Will taxes need to be paid on this ? Will it need to be inspected?

I bought one of those once- it came with a "title" or some form of paper for registration purposes. If you don't have that, I'd guess you would need it inspected like a lost title to be able to have it registered properly.

I've emailed dnr, and a conservation officer, back on 7.17.21. Still no replies from either.
Has no-one on here done this?

bought a 10 ' plastic boat like yours and in MO you didn't need to register it or anything as far as I knew. Most are used on smaller lakes and ponds and doubt it would be an issue.

In the great state of illinois, once you put a trolling motor on it, your supposed to register it.
I've now emailed dnr, three times. Twice using the "contact us" icon, on there website, once by emailing a CPO. With no response. So far, I haven't tried calling, as I'm afraid all it will do is ring. Plus, I wanted a response in writing. I'm trying to follow there rules, however, I can't get a response from them. Irony?
