My wife and I hit Sangchris this morning. The water temp was 70+ and we fished structure in 8 to 14 feet of water. Tons of dinks, but not a single keeper. I don’t know if we should be pounding the shoreline or keep hitting structure until we find the big ones. Thoughts?

Fished shelbyville on 5-21 & it was horrible. Fished mill creek today, & caught a lot of dinks up on the bank. Deep fish wouldn’t hardly bite. Managed 10 keepers between 9.5 & 11.5 today between 2 of us. Half males & half females. All females full of eggs. Starting to get somewhat soft. I think next week or two should be good. My thought on the last few days was barometric pressure at 30.4. That’s really high! Don’t know much about the pressure thing but it could have been a factor. Also muddy water. Last 2 days of fishing was fun, but also frustrating. Would like to get others thoughts also. Is the spawn going to last a little while or start and be over pretty fast with these really warm temps?

Catching something always better than catching nothing. Better luck next time.

Been at Shelbyville the last few days. It was best time I’ve had here over all my trips last
few years. I got as many fish deep as shallow. I took advantage of deep fish no one was focusing on
also got away from my go to colors of white pink and chartreuse. Black and junebug colors were working. Except for mini flukes I was using white. Zoom doesn’t make other colors I thought would work
dad was using gray and black jogging raps and getting them. He loves those things. I don’t like losing $6 on each snag
