We were on Rend 4/30, 5/1, 5/2, 5/9 & 5/10. Water temps in the bushes were 64 in the morning, warming to 70 by the afternoon. I'm guessing the water is not anywhere near 70 right now. The cold nights certainly did not help the bush fishing. We kept 62 nice fish over the 5 days fishing. We had to cover as much ground as possible until finding a bush with some fish on it. We fished well over 100 bushes but all the fish came from about 10 bushes. After a while you can tell which ones will have fish and which ones wont.
Regarding the spawn, all I can say is of the 62 fish we kept, all but 7 of them were males. The females we did keep still had semi-firm eggs just starting to show veins & blood.

we fish 5/10 thru 5/13 and it was cold all week morning low 42 high 62 caught 20 males nice size one female water temp was 58 to 61 and that was the highest water temp we found. I just was wondering if they where still in shallow I will say that the bushes that where on the points did better. Thanks for the help going back next week ooh yeah skunked again buck brush is just name of a bush like trees on the edge of the water.

Call it buck brush if you like, no problem here, but it's actually button bush. Tough for me to get 10 overs right now, last two days I managed to catch 6. Hope the warm temps and rain next week gets them going again.
