Atwood I am impressed with your wisdom. She has 1000's of eggs right now. She gets to spawn now (maybe) and give us many fish in the future. You can catch her post spawn, lighter but very tasty. Great job for helping all of us down the road.

That's how you do it. been releasing all my bigger fish for some time and feel good doing it. even if it's just for someone else to have the fun of ketchn them in the future. course if they go ahead and have all those eggs fertilized and in the gene pool good on that. nothing wrong with 9 to 12 inch fish filets.
