Decatur lake

Buddy and I are coming from Ohio to fish the lake for first time. We will be doing the crappie USA tourney Saturday. Just wondering if there are any areas to be careful in with stumps or prop eating areas. Lol. Not looking for any spots because half the fun of new lakes is finding your own spots. At what stage of the spawn are the fish in there ? Can you fish around the private docks in Illinois? What’s a good size of fish on this lake ?
Hope To see some of you on the lake this week and good luck if your fishing the tourney . We will be there Wednesday afternoon.

10.81 won a tournament last weekend with big fish 1.89. The same guys will probably win it this weekend if they fish the crappie USA this weekend. They've been on fire lately.
