    Default Lake Shelbyville and 04.26.21

We are catching a lot of fish with a jig and cork right now and also spider rigging for pre-spawners.

Looks like an awesome day, and with a fishing partner.....really can't have any better day than that! I'm heading over to fish with my dad, and am very unfamiliar with the lake....been once, and love the lake. Any hints, tips, tricks? How was the water level? Last time I went two years ago, we understand they dropped the level 6 foot a couple days before we got there. I found my limit each day, but it was tough.

A more serious question....I've understood there is a place in the main lake somewhere that is super shallow due to a sandbar that has claimed its fair share of transoms and lower units. Any idea where that is, so that I can keep my eye out? I'm camping with dad at Lithia Springs, and won't be wandering too far from there. Just a couple ministers making our annual memories!

Thanks in advance, and hope we get to see another picture of another successful day! Stay safe, and healthy!

Black/chartreuse jig about a foot and a half under a cork has been doing pretty good. As for hazards I would recommend a good map and be careful. There are a lot of hazards that aren't marked with bouys. The lake is at 596.5 right now which is 2.5 ft below summer pool.
