Yesterday 9/24 at Evergreen, Water was 69°. I could see lots of fish at 12-18 ft but they were tight lipped. Only 3 takers in 6 hrs of fishing a mix of minnows and Charley Bee spinner jigs. They came from 6 fow near the blow downs. Other boats reported the same results. They just did not want to play with us.

9-25 fished north central lake and it was tough only managed 8 keepers they are scattered on wood and cribs but will not bite at all, watching them on the scope really lets you see what’s going on down there and they were not interested in eating this day we need this cold front to drop the water temps and get these fish to put there feed bags on!!

I fished Mill Creek lake in central IL today, they were still deep and pretty tight lipped. Minnows were the only thing I could get them to bite, and they wanted it to sit there for about ten minutes before they would deign to nibble on it. All my fish were between 12-15 feet deep.

I'm still new to crappie fishing, and days like to day are so crazy to me. I could find big schools of crappie on the depth finder no problem, but I could only catch like 2-3 fish out of a school of hundreds. It's incredible to me that so many fish would turn up their nose at a live, struggling minnow right in their face.

The problem is that they are full time fish and your only a part time fisherman
A person should learn something new every day!
