    Default Clinton for a week.

In two weeks I'm heading to Clinton for a week R&R. And to be honest I haven't fished since the lock down started.
Been pleasure boating/camping a couple times last month.

    Whats the fishing like?

Seems to me that if it ain't the ville or Rend, nobody fishes in Illinois anymore. Used to be on Crappie.com, you could see about Evergreen, Sanchris, or Clinton, but not anymore. Evergreen used to be a hot topic. Things change, people move on, not as good a site as it was 10 years ago.

I would agree with 1 change. The crappie.com site very good but the Illinois forum is not very useful for some of us anymore.
I guess less pressure where I fish is a plus for me.

Spring and fall I work the coves working the deadfalls along the edges never fished it in the middle of summer. The route 10 cove is deep with standing timber might hold fish not sure what water temps will be I would think the fish will be deep and scattered. Good luck it is a nice lake not sure how many pleasure boaters this time of year either. Another reason why I go spring and fall.

A few crappie are on brush 12'to 16' deep .i think maybe most are scattered out suspended under baby shad. maybe spider rig will work if you can figure out what depth they are at.crank baits may work too.
