    Never been around there. Look for creeks and ditches that dump into the river. Flats along channels Large bays
    Any place with buck brush you gotta single pole in it but there’s some donkeys

    I've got a couple places like you described all picked out. Never fished the river except for sauger. Thanks for the info.

    as a near daily Il river fisherman during the spring and fall i have been catching large amounts of sauger, and every year the numbers gets better. Don't fish the main river if you can help it fish the little sloughs,lakes, and backwaters. The waters i fish are from liverpool to up by btown and for the crappie just keep looking you'll find em they are plentiful here.
