I don't believe I've seen that before. But proof is right there.

They definitely eat bigger stuff than people realize alot of the time. But I have also caught big slabs on tiny stuff. It pays to experiment with all different types of colors and body styles/sizes more than most will have you believe.

My most productive jig last year was a 1/64 oz trout magnet. Yes, I caught a lot of dinks, but a lot of nice fish too.

I use anything from 1/32 to 1/4 oz jigheads. I stick to the rules of thumb my Dad taught me. I go bigger if I am fishing deeper, its windy, or the water is dirty. Also in the fall. Early in the year or clear water I go smaller.
Fished for years without so much of a thought about going smaller than a 1/16 . Now I use 1/32, 1/64,1/100 and have at least one rod dedicated to light tackle(4 lb. test fluorocarbon line ) on all jigging trips . You dead stick a 1/64 in is a stand off . lol
