Thread: Gonna be hard to beat

What a great weekend. Youth deer season and I said you want to go, yes, but not without mom. Well mom doesn't get off work till 430, lets go fishing for a bit. First spot she catches back to back 13'" fish and rubs it in saying dad, I have a new honey hole. 4 more keepers out of that spot for her and all I could do was man the livewell. I managed to make a comeback but she had me beat in numbers and size and did a good job reminding me on the way home. Fish on ice and hurry up and get hunting clothes on. Three of us head to the blind and in less than an hour 2 small fawns and this buck show up at 30 yds. Sis says I like that buck. I say we have plenty of time, how about we wait a bit and see what else comes out. She says ok, and then two minutes later she says, I really like that buck. I say go ahead and she didn't hesitate and he never made it out of the field. First deer for her and lots of smiles for all!!
