    Default Northern Illinois fish

Finally, after a looong cold winter, the air & water temps are starting to warm up enough to get back on the water and hunt for some fish.

Was lucky enough this past weekend to pick up a handful of tasty treats.

I have been a game fish fishermen all my life - Bass, Walleye, Musky. I am in my seventies and have never fished for Crappie. I would like to learn and be able to take my grandson fishing. Can anybody message me on what lakes are good for crappie in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin? Need help. Thanks in advance and be careful out there.

P-row thanks for the information. Unfortunately my fishing partner messed up his back and needs surgery. Probably will not do any fishing this year until he recovers. Again, thanks a lot for the information. Tight lines and be careful out there.

LH....your very welcome. Funny thing is, I'm kinda layed up at the moment also with back issues. Don't know how old your grandson is but maybe you can find someone else to help you get him out sooner. I am hoping to get my grandson out this summer too.... really looking forward to that!!
