Default Info on Carlyle Lake in June

Finiman and I will be fishing the Crappie USA event on June 8 at Carlyle Lake. We'll be bringing our crankbait gear. Any general assistance will be greatly appreciated. Doug

The west side of the lake along the Eldon Hazzlett camp ground has lots of rip rap and the Channel runs along there. I have heard that is a good area. Other wise it is a big silted in bowl. Watch the east side of the lake can get very shallow. Good luck.

Look on your graph mapping. To the northeast of above mentioned spot, by a mile or two, a submerged island.
Lots of stumps/ trees in cove by sailboat harbor, Southwest part of the lake.
Hazlet cove has lots Xmas trees.
East of the railroad tracks is shallow and full of stumps. No wake also .
As said above, it's a big, open, shallow lake.

--- Warning -- This lake gets ROUGH with the slightest of breezes.
There used to be an ethanol free pump in Carlyle, don't know if it's still at that shell station.
    Drinkin coffee, missin fish.
