    Anyone catching crappie. What's the water temp.

    Not yesterday. Water temp around 50.

    Water is very muddy. Fishing is extremely slow right now. Fish can be caught about 7 foot deep on brush or pile ons. Color of choice for me right now is silver or black/chartreuse. Water level is also really low....been letting it out for the spring floods. Fishing generally gets better once they start holding the water in the lake.

    Thanks for info thicks. Is there alot of brush up in basin 4 past reas bridge. I've heard not to much or even at all in the lower basins. Does it get even more shallow north

    If you go past Reas Bridge Rd. be extremely careful. The whole basin is no wake for a good reason.

    Thanks. Even with the dredging it's still that shallow. Is it worth running up that way this part of the year

    There's no danger north of Rhea's Bridge till the KC's park where they stopped the dredge. As far as worth going up there for the fishing....That's part of the hunt. Good luck, there are some very nice crappie in Decatur.
