what odd or strange things have you seen while fishing?

This morning I had only been fishing about 5 or 10 minutes. It was still pretty low light but I saw something coming on the surface from the main lake, that I had just come across, toward the point I was angling toward. Initially I thought it was a beaver...but way too big. As it got closer I realized it was a deer, antlers and all. Never have I personally seen a deer treading water. He seemed like a pretty good swimmer...awesome sight!

We seen a deer swimming across Kentucky lake, talk about a long swim.

Iv witnessed Lotsa deer swimming across the lakes, but the coolest was having an eagle fly down and grab a dead fish not 15 foot from the boat in Canada.

Seen lots of deer swimming. They can really swim fast!
I too have eagles come get little Crappie off the water surface during winter.

It was what I didn't see and that was the night of 9/11. I was night fishing on Mill Creek lake. After a couple hours on the water I noticed that there hadn't been any airplanes in the sky. Kind of a odd feeling in the middle of night. If I remember right the Federal Government had all aircraft grounded at the time.

I had a turkey fly into my boat an attack me once. Was the scariest and funniest 30second I have had fishing.

My Aunt has a large pond behind her house. It has large cats, bass, and pike. While crappie fishing a mother duck with a string of babies swam past us. A swirl appeared behind the last baby. Mom duck was short 1 duckling.

Have seen deer swimming, eagle flew right over me within a few feet even dropping dirt on me from some brush it had pulled up for a nest(I assume), Had large alligators swim up next to the boat, even had a couple fighter jets pass what seemed very close over us while fishing Toledo Bend, but the strangest came as a weird sound first. Fishing a lake by Tallahassee years ago early one morning we kept hearing a intermittent strange whoosh sound. It got louder and all of a sudden 2 hot air balloons came into view and nearly landed on us. They were trying to touch the lake with the basket and as there was a tree line, they didn't see us either until they were right over us by a few feet. Was quite a sight. I have flown in one since then. Not nearly as exciting as I thought it would be.
