    Default STOLEN FISHING EQUIPMENT.

I posted this in the TN forum but thought i would stick it here also.

Well made a trip down from Northern IL to KY Lake. Stayed at Cypress Bay Resort. We have stayed here a couple times now. It is right on the KY/ TN line. Nice people that run the place. Most of the week went well. Caught crappie, bluegill, and yellow bass every day we went out. Also a couple nice cats and two nice smallmouth. Released the smallmouth. I think we ended up with 30 crappie for the week. Out of the whole week we only had 2 crappie that were undersized. That dreaded 9&3/4". LOL. Everything else was nice. Very healthy fat 11-13". Everything we caught were in the 12' depth. We tried deeper and shallower. 12' was the magic depth. Minners out fished the jigs big time.
Darn Asain carp are all over Cypress bay. Water temps was 66*
THE BAD-----Friday night some dirtbag stole my Lowrance HDS 9 touch screen depth finder, and a St Croix rod with a Diawa Revos reel. I think losing all my waypoints hurts more than anything. Another boat lost a depth finder and 2 rods & reels and another lost a trolling motor. Keep your eye out for someone selling this stuff. If you notice anything contact the Henry County Sheriffs dept. Sure ruins a good fishing trip. Took me 2 years of saving up to get the depthfinder.

Crappie spawning and morels popping up at the same time. What was God thinking when he made that schedule. It's pure torture every spring deciding which to do.

With all the GPS tech on these units you think that they could figure out how to find the units next time they were powered up. That would deter thieves possibly.

I was thinking the same thing. I would think they could lock in on it when its powered up. But i doubt it would deter many form stealing. Most of the thief's are more interested in getting their drug money. They will do whatever it takes. They aren't usually too high on the smart totem pole.

You're probably right about the addicts. Just seems if they can find a car they could locate a GPS unit!!!
