    Default The Big Pond 7/7/2018

What a beautiful morning to be on the Lake. PeeWee and Harold came down to fish with us again. Had them here in the spring. We fished with a slip cork and minnows over brush and lay-downs in 20 to 25 ft of water. We set the cork at 12ft. Probably caught over 150 fish. Get out early before the pleasure boaters and you can get a nice mess.

Is it just me or does it seem like the pleasure boaters are really bad this year? Hopefully the high fuel prices will slow them down. I was trolling crank baits one day and had 1 boat about 30 yards away from me stopped letting 3 kids climb back onto the tube he was pulling and when I turned around to look where I was going there was 75' house boat trying to thread the needle between us. That's when I knew it was time to go.
