I agree with halibut4me, a lot of these thieving thugs opt for easier pickings when they know someone has taken a good look at them and with photos all the better. As sportsmen we all need to be vigilant in our environment, something I remind my wife and friends about on a regular basis, going shopping, getting gas, etc.. So many of these low life's are just cowardly opportunists. Law officers can't be everywhere to prevent these type of crimes but it sure wouldn't hurt for marked and unmarked units to make more of a habit of doing drive throughs in these areas, if nothing esle just to plant the seed of doubt in those thinking about such crimes. Until such time much of the prevention falls on us.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

Lot of the ***" lowlife's are opportunistic. I use this in their face, licence and facial picture taking more in my home neighborhood and when at gas stations/shopping when things obviously are not right and thieves are looking to do no good or actually walking on people's property to scope it out. We must all watch out for each other and drop a dime on the bad guys when they are blatenly "trolling" ( pun intended) just prior to stealing. My experience has shown the lowlife's usually have warrants or are on parole and if cops do get a chance to detain them, they can be hauled of for drugs on them, stolen property on them, or outstanding warrants. Either way the odds of them going down are pretty high since they are lowlife's and they are already wanted by the law, more than likely.Robbed at the ramp today - Crab O

I'm really sorry to hear this. This is becoming more and more common. This has sparked some good discussion and contributors have offered some legitimate non-violent ways to do something when you see something. Thanks for sharing.
