    Did you register the boat since the IDNR put the exemption in place ?

    wow just gave away a 16 foot lund deep v that been sitting in my yard for years.let someone store it and never heard from them again.i guess they knew about the change

    If it's financed, I'll bet the bank wants a title to put a lien on,.been there, done that with a truck camper, KY says no registration required, bank had a different opinion.

    this is a old post but my new boat bought in Nov of 2018 (2019 lund impact). I was issued a title with this boat and was told it was required.

    I think all boats can still be titled in Illinois. I have not read anything that says they can not be. All boats 22 feet long and over are required.
    All boats have to be registered.
    Any new boat will / should have a certificate of origin. That would be as good as any title to prove proof of ownership. It is normal to surrender the origin certificate to the agency issuing the title.
