Some nice big ones there. Nice channel too.
My wife and I made it down to Rend to crappie fish in the brush! I've booked a trip
with Nick Shafer (Crappie Predator Guide Service) for a trip in May and again in
late October for past couple of years and we had a good time again. We caught
between 55-60 fish and brought home 29 keepers. Fishing was a little tough, what
with the intermittent rain and the winds (15-20mph) with a few gusts in the 25mph
range. We used slip bobber rigs set for about 30 inches in 4ft of water, and dipped
that rig into the brush. Most of the brush piles we fished gave up at least one fish.
Some were keepers, others were not. The females appeared to be spawned out, and
the males were extremely dark in color.
