    Prayer Request Looking for Info Lake of Egypt and Crab Orchard


    OK fellow crappie fishermen, I'm trying to find out if it's worth the
    time and effort to travel down to one of those lakes for some crappie
    fun. Has anyone fished down there in the last few days that would be
    willing to share some info? I'm NOT looking for your honey holes or
    specific spots to fish, just some info on what general location and types
    of bait and maybe the style of fishing that you have doing, single poling,
    spiderrigging or what? I've got to get outta the house! This weather we've
    been having in northern Illinois SUCKS andI don't want to waste gas or
    time traveling 250+ miles. Your help is most definitely appreciated!!!

    Lake Egypt appears to be doing good right now. All of the other Southern Illinois lakes seem to be at least a couple weeks away from prime time.

    Just got back from the orchard, fish are shallow (2 foot). First time fishing there with my long time friend, we ended up with 70 plus for a day and a half. Good Luck
