There was a beautiful layer of frost on everything and the fog was extremely thick, so thick I accumulated ice on my antenna a 1/4" thick. All melted off by time we got to the ramp. Fishing was slow, but there were a ton of boats on the lake as the day went on. Caught a bunch of dinks and a couple of keepers. The fish caught one too. My buddy set the hook, and the fish took the pole out of his hands. It floated for all of one second then gone to the depths it went. I got it on video, at least I think I did. I have to download it yet to be sure.

We spent about half the day exploring new water, areas of the lake I had never been on. Also worked out our spider rigging technique, first time for him and I don't have much more experience.

Temps at the house when I left was 25, 1 1/2 later at the ramp 34, as we pulled out of the lot at 2.3pm 50ish. Nice bright sunny day once the fog lifted.
