    Default Shelbyville: 10/29/2017

Not too bad of a day yesterday at Shelbyville. Got on the water about 0700 and limited out by 0915. There were no real slabs of the day but had had 6 over 11" and they were pretty thick. Smallest one I kept was 9 1/2 (looks smaller in pictures, I know) and the biggest was 11 1/2. What I noticed is that they sure haven't switched to jigs yet, I had one jig pole and one pole with a double minnow rig on and only caught one on the jig. Guys fishin all around me said were not doin too hot and they said they were using jigs. I was fishin in about 17 feet of water at about 8-10 feet down bouncing off of stumps and didn't have to go through a lot of little ones to get to the big ones like usual, actually caught my overs before my unders. Hope this helps! (If you count in the picture of the fish laying on the cleaning station I am one short, forgot to put it up there)

Good deal. Looks good. Head north on the lake and the jig bite is there. They have been thumping the fire out of jigs for about a month now. 6-12fow.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong then. Fished those depths Saturday with every jig in the box. Christmas trees, standing trees on points, rock banks, caught 3 keepers in 4 hours.
