Had a good day on Clinton this morning. Put in at Mascoutah around 8 am. The east end of the lake towards route 48 bridge looked like bumper boats as far as you could see. I hooked a right out of Mascoutah and headed for less pressured water. Water temps were any where from 52 to 57 midlake. Had a limit by noon. Fish were in 6 to 8 foot of water in brush. I could not get bit unless I ticked the branches on the retrieve. 3/4 of the fish I cleaned were females and the eggs were already turning mushy. Pretty hard to believe it's only Mid-Feb.
