Caught a bunch in the normal community fishing holes. One was the biggest on Rend for me at "14 also had a buddy pull in a 13.5". Didn't keep a ton of big ones. Had to sort through a ton of dinks to get some for the Crisco Lake. Fish were in 12' to 14' down. Right on the bottom. Also hooked into a nice flathead. That fish put up a long fight really fun on the BnM jig pole. Seemed to like orange and chartruese the best on Sunday and Black Chartruese on Saturday. Have a few pics. See next post
Nice pics. There are so many fish in different year classes in most of the So.Ill. lakes right now the only way you're not gonna catch a lot of small fish is if you work diligently to fish exclusively in places they are not hanging out.... and you have found some places that are big fish dominated. The other thing is sometimes you will catch the bigger fish in shorter periods of the day ...where the smaller fish will bite all day many times.
Not saying nothing new but the last couple years good spawns have produced a lot of fish.Good fishing on the horizon for several years I think.
