Yes, there are still fish being caught in the bushes, caught several there Thur-Sun, although it seemed that the cold weather slowed the nicer fish down some by sun, at least for me. I saw water as warm as 77 on fri and in the low 60s on sun morning. I recommend a stiff pole, heavy line ( I use 14lb mono) and a light wire hook so you can pull free. You will be hung up often and if you don't have patience it can be frustrating, but not having to break off and constantly re-tie makes it much more enjoyable. I recommend going to Luke's in Sesser and get plenty of minnows. Mid lake area was good.

Nice report !
I'm wanting to go, but Leary of that lake and it's reputation of wind. Are these spots in the wind? Coves? Should I watch the weather and stay on on the leeward side? As with Carlyle? Have a 17' tin.
Drinkin coffee, missin fish.
Yes, in the coves and there are lots of ramps so you can usually find one out of the wind.
