    Default The Ville 4/27

Had Jay and Jeff out with me today had another good time. The fish didn't cooperate nearly as well as they had been but we ended up with our triple limit. The wind made things interesting and the banks that should of been protected had swirling winds and werent so protected! Jay and Jeff were great out there and even learned a thing or two...it helps when they are cardinal fans and not them nasty cub fans! We found our shallow fish werent really there today with the big cold front, so we targeted 7-14fow and never did find a honey hole, but picked up several fish pretty much every where we went. We used hook it baits new tubes on 8th ounce heads and the new plastics dont rip near as bad or easily as the old ones so thats a plus. Minnows werent as big of a factor today and jigs were used primarily with some coming on jigs tipped with minners. We didn't have any big ol gooduns today but we had lots of nice quality fish.. Although we fished deeper I had three seperate reports today of quick limits coming shallow casting jigs and/or set shallow under a cork. Sounds like those north end fish are wantin to get on goin now!!

Hey Birdman, how has the walleye bite been? Been thinking I need to make a trip up when it gets right!

give a man a fish he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll spend thousands of dollars on fishing equipment
