Default Getting ready for the ice?

Who’s getting ready for ice fishing? It’ll probably be late December or early January before we have ice here. I just got some new rods and I’m shopping for reels now.
What’s on your list for new gear for this winter?

Looking forward to it, all geared up from last season when we hardly had any good ice. Made 2 late season trips and that was it. Hopefully this year will have better ice around here.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Ice fishing is certainly on my bucket list. Close as I could come down this way is cutting holes in a pontoon floor and throwing a shelter up over it. Wait that isn't such a bad idea. I get a kick out of the videos where they cut a huge circle in the ice, put a trolling motor on it so it apins and call it trolling.

Looks like we might get some ice in Pa. I'm hopeful,Pickens has been slim the past couple of years. Got a couple of new rods and I am thinking about going from a gas auger to a cordless drill setup.
