Had a 4 PT run up 3 yards behind me at 11:40. Then this guy walked in at 60 yards. .450 Bushmaster took off the top of his heart but he was able to make it 80 yards closer to the vehicle. Luckily my 2 little brothers, 65 and 61 were able to help me move him the other 300 yards! Hunting on the ground, public land.

This morning I feel like I won a participation award in a Tough Man contest! Now I remember why shooting smaller deer isn't always bad! Bucks were moving yesterday. 20 minutes after I shot mine a fella on the next road over shot an 8pt and my brother missed one much bigger than mine. He also shoots a .450BM and is always surprised when they don't drop on the spot. He does have a trophy pine limb to hang on his wall though! All within a mile and a half.
Nice. Doesn't take much when it's something you don't do on a regular basis to make one sore. Good day yesterday for sure. Congrats again.
