Default The Last of my buck tags

As we near the end of deer season here, a rather Limpy fella showed up on my friend's place while I was sitting for a last minute, maybe another nice one to add to the list. This buck was apparently hit by a vehicle at some point a good while back.
wider than our minimum rule for greater than 13 inches wide and not looking all that good, he met his second close call and did not survive it.
His first whack left him with a folded over shoulder blade and a broken leg between his knee and shoulder on the same side, pretty clearly hit on the road at some point in his life and managed to make it on 3.5 legs till he met me.
17 inches wide and only a six point by our count . 2 on one side and 4 on the other.
He wasn't very heavy in the body and really got a pretty solid beating during the rut, but as well know, he will taste great, and his rack will go in the barn with the other bucks on that wall.
KABOOM was done on the buck with a decent rack as of yesterday here in this area of the world, and we are about over with on the deer chasing this season, one or 2 more doe hunts and it will be time to concentrate on KABOOMING back on the water.
there exists more to this story btw , our actual main agenda was to finish our well house at our place about an hour away from where we hunted, supposed to be a hard freeze this week they say and it had to get done. So the buck went down about 7 30 and about 9 00 we showed up at our country place and got after it it , we did take a lunch break and had us some ....
deer done right on our lunch break.
pretty proud of the finished product for sure , got about 60 greenbacks in it total and a bunch of labor ,built from scraps of hoarded tin and stuff donated to me to build it .....
was a really great day and went EXACTLY according to plan .....don't git much better for sure.
at the front gate the sun was setting as we left and the sky was right ....good times for sure .
a buck on ice and a killer lunch and nice well house all in the same day ....
    for sure KABOOM
p.s. yes I almost missed that neck shot and had to track him a bit .....

That buck lived a tough life. Food looks delicious, amazing sunset and a job well done. Good day. KABOOM.

I ended my TN season without a buck killed by me or either of my daughters. This will be the first year in a long time this has happened.

Too busy tracking is my guess and the daughters grew up too ….
They seem to not be quite as hard pressed to whack a deer the older they get
