I already have a good idea , just wondering if you whitetail guys can tell me from this angle , it would be difficult for me to know at this time of year from this angle , but I been watching him for a while now and know how old he is, feeding them and watching them makes it way easier to take the "RIGHT" animal from the herd at the right time , it is how proper deer management is done , just saying ...

Several acres here myself. I don't "manage" the wildlife here, they've been here for millennia. Not for me to judge what goes and stays. Nature takes care of itself, always have.

Certainly hard to tell
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
mankind has been the scourge of the earth for many moons and the habitats the flora and fauna need for survival and reproduction . many of the local ranchers in many places have zero respect for anything wild and only see wildlife in general as something that could cause financial losses .
Europe was deforested by mankind and then here they came to the Americas to repeat the devastation. Helping and or "managing" the balance of what should be and was, instead of what shouldn't be and is has always been something we need on our planet . Left unchecked and unmanaged the Earth will go in the toilet with the let it be and let it do it's own thing attitudes , there is no way the earth will survive the long term effects of the left unchecked version of the natural circle of life .
Destroying large swaths of natural timber to be replaced with pines is yet another example in a different part of the world on what is not good for the wildlife as well .
the list is truly endless on the thoughtless destruction and or turning of heads to this problem that occurs over and over and has for an extended length of time.
to each his own is my thoughts on how he or she wants to "manage" whatever property they own , but to be VERY sure , mother nature is WAY out of whack , with VERY few caring about what it might need to help take care of itself .....
in my part of the world the used to be peanut farmers that the government subsidized basically stripped the area of nutrients need for the local flora and fauna to take care of themselves , they created huge swaths of waste lands that only grass can grow on "IF" you help it grow , and even the local fellas in the area know full well the lasting effects they put on the west Texas range land .management of the unnatural balance that was self inflicted is the key to putting things back right for the future generations to enjoy , sadly though many have a zero clue about how to do it and or care about doing it ....
there is substantial cost and work involved to make right what is wrong and very few are interested in the "fix" .....just saying

it truly is my friend , if it were not for my constant year round "management" program , I would have to guess and that is what makes the program we run so effective on helping the deer herd .
that buck is at least 6 and possibly 7 years old and we have watched him grow for years, he is likely near his downside on the planet due to the amount of sand in his diet and tooth wear associated with this type of diet .
to bad the peanut farmers that used to be in the area didn't realize or care and stripped the land of it's natural vegetation to leave huge swaths of what would considered by an educated naturalist as wastelands .....
the downside to a buck that age though is this , he did NOT get that age by doing stupid things and is basically only seen on camera about 364 and a half days a year .....just saying
we have ONLY seen him at a distance and ONLY a few times in the flesh and he is one educated on how to survive the onslaught of what might want to eat you critter for sure...
