I shot 2 back in Feb, Almost no body fat but meat has a good clean taste. I pressure canned as much as I could, vac packed the tenderloins and back straps..made burger with the trimmings.

The hoof or its track will confirm a Mulefoot breed, it’s not split.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

They were not mule foot then..I saw a picture of a Mulefoot hog and it resembled what I had shot.. I'm heading over to her place in a few minutes to see if any more show up.

Size: 152.8 KB. This one has a scary looking face..I used to the pineywoods rooters with the long snouts.. I am pretty sure this one and the last 2 I got at my friend's are Asian hogs like a Pot Belly pig. They likely were let loose or escaped someone's pen? One of my friends got a picture of a Aoudad sheep? Yesterday at our hunt club..we have no idea where it came from..our place is a pine plantation with a lot of swamp and wetlands. All surrounding fences are 5 strand barbed wire.

I have killed over 100 wild hogs but never ones with short snouts like these.
Never seen a hog like that. Curious.
