If you get stopped by a fed warden he is going to run you through the wringer to try and figure out what crime you are going to commit with that gun, since you have "no reason to have it". Been there, done that. Tossed a shotgun in the boat during spring snow goose season just in case i came up on a roosting flock. Trust me, not worth the hassle of him digging through your entire boat to try and find all your "hidden guns".

This is not the case in Mississippi. If it’s legal, you’re good. As far as ammo goes, have you checked out Apex? They have legit .410 ammo. Their turkey loads are unsurpassed.

The federal wardens dont see it as common sense as we do. Im speaking from experience, you don't want the hassle. State wardens couldnt care less here

Never heard about a problem except if you launch in a park it must be unloaded . In Arkansas there is some hunting season open nearly all year long.

have a .410/.22 inherited myself and LOVE it for fall season of squirrel hunting and then especially where fall turkey is on as well. You come across a flock o young ones and then you can sit and call them back in with just your mouth and that will flat lay them out.

BTW get the 3 inch mag loads only. the 2.5 inch ones won't hardly kill a squirrel.

bought a case sometime back from sportsman warehouse and havn't had to buy for a long time as you don't shoot that many of them in a season. course depends on how the squirrel population is. they are a great gun IMO. love my old stephens.
