Default My buddy from work and the one that .....

So many of you likely know my best buddy is a guy called H
he takes care of our little place in the country and hunts it and goes ketchn with me all the time
H has one brother that works with us that is a really avid bowhunter
He shows me lots of great bucks and takes a nice one about every year
So fast forward to this year and he has been after 2 different BIG bucks, he really likes
One is piebald and or pinto monster buck that he has only seen one time in person and out of bow range
the other is a MOSTER 12 point he has had on camera all year and within bow range 3 times this year
last week the 12 point gave him the "perfect" shot at 24 yards and he took it ....
    The shot I meant ....
the buck ducked the arrow and never knew what happened for sure and walked away unscathed .....
seems it got away and ruined his day ....
sure, wanted to see them horns in his hands is my native American name ....
here are 2 grainy photos of the beast ....and yes I said beast ....

That’s a nice one. Shame he missed but that gives you an opportunity to get it.

Certainly a nice buck. I have had a buck or two drop as well but luckily the arrow hit them in the spine. Amazing how low those rascals can get. Hopefully H will get another chance.

Nice set of antlers. Reminds me of a buck we called wagon wheel years ago we hunted.

The place is right outside Ft. Worth , about 20 minutes from here , H and I are 1.5 hours west on the spot we hit , so not likely we will see him in person .
the person that missed the buck is H's brother ...the 10 point he got last year with his bow ,he shot TWICE , cut him across the back the first time ....
Got him solid the second time about 2 weeks later , pretty lucky fella sometimes for sure ...
