Default STILL NO KABOOM DARNIT !

and had 8 bucks and 11 does show them deer faces
bought made me crazy , watched two 8 points fight while a bigger buck just watched.
when it first started he intervened and let them know with certainty that he had not patience for them or that
seemed to be a momentary truce and he moved away a few yards and they went to it ....
one of the 8 points was a flat out crazy puppy and just wandered all around making trouble out in the field
he spanked lil bucks for fun and ran every doe out there for grins
    was entertaining for sure ....
just inviting it it seemed as he held his tail at full up the entire time
eventually they came my way and thought for sure the big boy was mine .....
clicked off my safety and some of the does in that bunch slowly filtered in ....
yeah buddy here we go ....
then a ding dong spike ran them off and in a flash I went from a bunch of deer to nada
then sat from 5 till 6 watching a few far away and none visible on our place .....
sometimes it is what it is I suppose , H watched him at 50 yards that morning for 20 minutes on our place
we will likely go to whacking and stacking next weekend , just saying ...
trust me , if it was just to harvest venison it would a been long done
but I really wanted that bigger rack , but then again ....
I just may not wait for a "bigger" rack .....

They do look nice displayed on the wall, but sometimes meat in the freezer is more important

most of mine just hang around in the garage anyway , 5 on the walls in the house is QUITE enough according to my interior decorator pal
2 in the living room , 1 in the den , 2 in my bedroom , the rest in the garage on my skulls and mounts wall ....
and a few hanging on wires in the garage because the wall is full ...and one in the trailer at our country place

You are blessed with a nice dear herd. I’m still looking as well but my bow has been silent.

I only have the one euro mount at the moment. It is on the reloading bench out of the way. Not sure where it will end up.

Take a good pic of the racks and I'm good. I'd rather have the meat in the freezer which I don't have any currently.

I know your pain.. I am sure you will get a good one. Sometimes it just happens... I' m trying to put 5 hogs into quart jars and hamburger.. I got one in late October but can't seem to be in right spot since.. Had 12 at my NW stand at 540 yesterday afternoon.. I was 400 yards away at another stand .. Our place is thick so there is no spot and stalk..

our ridiculous large herds of hogs have gone silent , likely getting trapped is my thoughts , not seeing many on camera and NONE in the daylight , but it is all good ,the deer love it at our place when they go on vacation .....

We have had a very good acorn crop this year and plenty of rain all thru the summer and fall. Our place has a thousand acres of planted pines that are 2 to 7 years old, browse is plentiful, bedding places right where they eat. Lots of natural food and water for our deer and hogs so they don't have to travel far for either. Specks/Crappie are starting to bite pretty good now..so I may have to dust my boat off and fish a Saturday or Sunday morning..
