I went to a low fence cattle ranch south of Telegraph Texas back in 2005.. There were invasive Axis deer there..I shot one and it was the best deer meat I ever cooked.. Got a good 9 point white tail too. I hoped to go back some day but buddies uncle sold the ranch..

My dad got on the board last week in Ohio. We’ve had this deer on camera the last two years and he finally came into bow range. Checking scrapes right at last light. Steep angle on the shot. Arrow entered high in the back, fractured the backbone, opened the far side lung, and sliced through the bottom of the heart. Buck collapsed on the shot and managed to drag himself 30 yards to the hillside where he proceeded to fall into a ravine. Needless to say the deer got the last laugh as pulling him out of that ravine took a lot of man power and ingenuity.
Something to be said for heavier/higher FOC arrows. 3 broken bones and a complete high to low cavity pass through.

Nice buck. Thatbis a lot of bone and body mass for a arrow to rip through
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
