This one stood about 10 feet away with me clapping my hands and telling it to leave. It was very unimpressed with my efforts

Nobody hunts them in my immediate area. The ridge behind the house is a nice wooded corridor for several miles. They have a nice low pressure area to roam. When the leaves are down you can see them travel that corridor several times a day

Considering big bore air rifle since it is not classified as a firearm. Otherwise crossbow

    You have a good point.

But if you grew up eating great home grown tomatoes and as an adult live in an area where growing tomatoes is almost impossible (due to short growing. season and soil quality) so the only option is to buy tomatoes from the store, you really do crave a great sliced home grown tomato.

Eating a BLT with store bought tomatoes is just not the same.

If the timing was possible I would give anybody a few pounds of deer meat for a bag of big home grown tomatoes.

Home grown tomatoes are much more flavorful than most store bought varieties
